The role of a Welding/Piping QC Inspector is to monitor and report compliance with quality standards and procedures.

Recommend methods to improve overall quality and assists in analysing quality concerns. Monitor and assist construction to achieve quality standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections in accordance with the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
  • Liaise with client’s representative for conducting of day to day inspection during the construction activities.
  • Ensure installation of equipment is in compliance with ECS Code, drawings, vendor and code requirements with respect to; material, alignment, etc.
  • Assist QC Manager and Area Leads in executing their responsibilities.
  • Maintaining LTQR’s as required during inspections ensuring all signatures on LTQR and ITP during inspection.
    Updating SONIM register as required.
  • Champion Foreign Material Exclusion, preventing ingress or entrapment of non-specified materials, loose items or debris in equipment and /or systems during assembly and testing.

 

Experience Required

  • Qualifications in an Engineering discipline, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience).  
  • Minimum 5years in progressively responsible inspection positions, understanding of isometric drawings.
  • CSWIP, 3.1/3.2 welding inspection qualification for welding.
  • Major Project Experience
  • Nuclear Experience beneficial
  • Working in Alliance agreement projects
