Rolls Royce SMR origins are deeply embedded in Rolls-Royce and their world-class nuclear and manufacturing heritage. Our Intellectual Property and resource expertise is built on the foundations of a company that has over seven decades of experience in designing and delivering nuclear solutions. Our nuclear experience is complemented by our unique aerospace know-how of manufacturing, supply chain management and logistics. Together, that heritage and experience is at the core of our SMR program. During our early stages of development we established a Consortium of industry partners to support the development of a fully integrated nuclear power plant solutions. Those Consortium partners will now work with us as supply chain partners, committed to continuing to support our program with their power plant, engineering, civils design, fuel, advanced manufacturing, project delivery and nuclear technology expertise.
