Project Directors are responsible for managing all deliverables at the framework level, ensuring and sustaining a world class HSE&Q performance, delivering high quality work, best value for money, ensuring commercial control and profitability, whilst driving continuous improvement. 

They are also the key interface and responsible person, focusing on forward planning and strategy linked to maximising the capabilities of the Key Delivery Partner to the overarching interest of the project.

Job Responsibilities

Experience Required

  • Leadership by example, setting the right behaviours, demonstrating a “best for project” ethos.
  • Lateral and flexible thinking to deliver solutions, with a ‘process driven’ focus to delivery.
  • Strong communication skills, liaising effectively with peer Key Delivery Partner leads, as well as functional leads and client teams.
  • Accountability for your own actions and responsibility for Key Delivery Partner decisions.
  • Ability to reach sensible compromise positions.
  • Previous record of success in senior roles, evidenced by examples.
  • An effective leader who sets the tone for the Key Delivery Partner employees to follow, ensuring that Nuclear professionalism and PPP principles are embedded throughout the team.
  • Prominence in Leading and fostering a positive Nuclear Safety Culture and liaising Safety best practises from LFE.
  • Ability to achieve security clearance (BPSS or higher).
  • Proven track record in large scale projects (Multi Discipline 50m +) in the nuclear or similar regulated sector, including leading major EPC projects.
  • Experience in delivering and operating at a Senior Leadership Level.
  • Experience in working in a Joint Venture or Alliance environment.

Qualifications Needed

  • A degree in relevant discipline (or equivalent discipline based Certification).
  • Relevant professional Accreditation (APM, Construction, Engineering).
