The role of a IR CoOrdinator is to manage the register of live cases – investigations, grievances etc., to ensure effective, timely case management of people related issues.

You will also coordinate arrangement of ER cases on a timely basis in line with HPC Common Framework Agreement.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the MEH IR Manager with the provision of day-to-day advice and guidance to supervisors and managers.
  • Liaise with MEHJV parent companies HR / IR teams as required
  • Support MEH Local Joint Council meetings, acting as note-taker.
  • Liaise with HPC recognised Trade Union Convenors as required.
  • Support IR Manager in project work.
  • Consistently act with integrity and confidentiality.
  • Compile IR weekly management reports activities.
  • Advise and coach managers to effectively manage Employee Relations issues in line with HPC Common Framework Agreement.
  • All other duties as required.
  • Provide monthly metrics on number of cases, stages etc.
  • Flag to IR Manager risk of timescales not being met.
  • Support ER/IR change initiatives and projects.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in all matters, displaying appropriate judgement and initiative when required.

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience

  • Previous HR or ER experience preferred
  • CIPD Level 3 or Level 3 CertRP or working towards
  • Excellent MS office skills – particularly MS Excel
  • Strong administrative and decision making skills.
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communicator
  • Previous experience in a Trade Union/construction environment advantageous
