CEOs From MEH Joint Venture Visit Hinkley Point C
The CEOs of key companies within the MEH Joint Venture visited Hinkley Point C to witness the progress being made on this landmark project. The MEH Alliance is a unique collaboration between Hinkley Point C and key contractors including Altrad, Altrad Babcock, Cavendish Nuclear, Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick, and NG Bailey.
The visiting leaders included Leo Quinn, Group Chief Executive of Balfour Beatty; Harry Holt, Chief Executive Nuclear of Babcock International Group; Padraig Somers, COO of Altrad UK, Ireland, Nordics & Poland; and Stephen Tarr, CEO of Balfour Beatty Transport, Energy & Power Major Projects. They were warmly welcomed by Stuart Crooks, Managing Director of Hinkley Point C, before embarking on a site tour to witness firsthand some of our key areas where pipework is being installed and cables are being laid.
During the visit, the CEOs also had the opportunity to meet with MEH apprentices: David Blunt, Electrical Apprentice, Joshua Eden-Jones, Welding Apprentices, and Luke Atyeo, Surveying Apprentice. The interaction provided a valuable opportunity for the apprentices to share their experiences and showcase their contributions to the project.
One of the apprentices, Joshua Eden-Jones, shared his thoughts on the visit: “It was a great opportunity to meet the CEOs and the HPC Managing Director. I had the chance to discuss my apprenticeship experience and even showcase some of my welding work at the Electrical Building. It was a refreshing change from my usual day-to-day tasks, and I appreciated the recognition for our hard work.”
