The role of a Area Mechanical QC Lead is to implement the project Integrated Management System and coordinate completion of all QC activities as per approved Inspection and Test Plans.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage site inspection program: Ensure proper planning and notification for inspection visits of QC team (planned and unplanned). Ensure availability of all necessary documents at inspection release. Also perform surveillance activities and monitor production process. Determine significant departures from approved quality plan and other non-conformances.
- Manage Client representative: Maintain cordial relationship with Client Site Representatives and ensure that client quality requirements are understood, agreed and fulfilled.
- Manage supporting staff: Manage a team of QC inspectors, Co-ordinators, and/or QC Document Controller as relevant to support the quality activity. Align quality inspection resources with business needs and assure effective coverage of the project load.
- Updating SONIM register as required.
- Champion Foreign Material Exclusion, preventing ingress or entrapment of non-specified materials, loose items or debris in equipment and /or systems during assembly and testing.
- Issue of NCR’s where required and facilitating construction in closure of internal and client issued NCR’s.
Minimum Qualifications/ Experience
- Qualifications in an Engineering discipline, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 10 years in progressively responsible Quality Engineering positions.
- Demonstratable experience on all types of rotating and static equipment.
- Major Project Experience,
- Nuclear Experience beneficial
- Working in Alliance agreement projects
