Apprentice Co-Ordinators support the apprentices on a range of programmes to help maximise individual performance, positively influencing progress towards timely achievement.

The role holder is also involved of all aspects of the apprentice journey from on-boarding through to completion of the End Point Assessment. Co-ordination of day to day Apprentice activity on site to ensure individual development and progress will be a key responsibility. You will also provide regular communication on Apprentice progress and engage with multiple stakeholders and local training providers. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide support in completion of portfolios and other evidence whilst setting targets to ensure timely progress towards EPA.
  • Have responsibility for the day to day management of all Apprentice activities including the co-ordination of review meetings.
  • Individual Apprentice development and support requirements are identified and addressed.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of Apprentice progress.
  • To co-ordinate all elements of the Apprenticeship programme to provide Apprentices the opportunity of success.
  • Completion of effective Apprentice progress reviews, identifying any training needs through skill and knowledge gaps.
  • Develop and implement the delivery of individual training plans and placements to ensure apprentices fulfil the learning required to meet the relevant Apprenticeship Standard.
  • Regularly monitor and maintain records relevant to Apprentice progress including E Portfolios.
  • Support individual Apprentice personal and wellbeing needs where possible, signposting them to specific expertise when required.
  • Contribute towards ensuring all relevant H&S procedures are in place and followed apprentices, reporting any concerns as appropriate.
  • Engage in the design and delivery of effective Apprentice induction programmes.
  • Create and provide clear information, reports and KPIs as requested.
  • Liaise with partner organisations on Apprentice progress as required.
  • Ensure Apprentices have appropriate resources required both at College and on site.
  • Ensure that all completed training certificates are uploaded to the learning management system and E Portfolios.
  • Support the L&D Manager to source appropriate Apprenticeship programmes as required. 
  • Establish effective relationships with training providers.
  • Attending and promoting Apprenticeship Schemes at recruitment and networking events. 
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

 

Qualifications Needed

  • A relevant Level 3 qualification 
  • GCSE level English & Maths
  • Previous experience of co-ordinating Apprentice training and up-to-date knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards 
  • Competent in using Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Excel and Word with an aptitude to work with other software (including E Portfolios)
  • Skilled at developing strong relationships within large organisations
  • The ability to effectively manage multiple schemes, individuals and priorities.
  • An ability to work accurately and to high levels of detail
  • Good at building relationships internally and externally
  • Has a flexible, approachable style of working with others to achieve successful outcomes
  • High levels of motivation and the ability to use own initiative
